Amazon Future Engineer is a program that aims to inspire and train children and young adults from underserved communities to pursue careers in computer science. My role was to create a branding system for the program and redesign existing materials, including a logo, website, brochure, posters, and stickers.
The visual solve I created translates coding symbols into a language of vibrant, friendly designs. Fun visuals alongside photography featuring students from all backgrounds will help to inspire future engineers for years to come. The color palette is vibrant and representative of diversity, featuring colors from Amazon’s sky palette to tie back to the parent brand.
I created a brand guidelines document that outlines how the branding system works, from logo specifications to rules around how the coding language should be used alongside photography.
I designed posters for each Amazon Future Engineer program, from K-8 to the internship level. The visual system is flexible, so that the posters could feature photography, just coding symbols, or both.
I simplified the landing page design to make it easier for users to learn about the program and navigate to the application process.
Amazon Future Engineer stickers were created as swag to give out to students and teachers during school events to promote the program.
